Music here at Fowler UMC!

Psalm 150 v.6 “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!  Praise the Lord!”

Music here at Fowler UMC gives many opportunities for people to be involved with music groups to bring a joyful sound to our sanctuary!   Our music in worship reflects a variety of sounds and instruments and we use all of these gifts to create a blended style of worship. We welcome children, youth, and adults to participate in the music here at Fowler.  We welcome instrumentalists, soloists, and vocalists a place to share their gifts. We also welcome and celebrate a multicultural flavor in worship which reflects many of our families and the kind of music they grew up with in Congo, Burundi and Tanzania.  We also strive to combine all of these faucets together to lift a song of praise here at Fowler UMC as an expression of our gratitude to our Lord and Savior who created us, sustains us, and walks beside us in all of our days. Our music reminds us of God’s unconditional love and grace and we invite you to join us in creating music for this purpose!

Here’s the music groups and ways to participate in the music here at Fowler:

Worship Band

Fowler Choir

Injili Choir

These groups help to bring our collective voice of praise.  Some of our music groups participate in worship on a weekly basis and others on a seasonal basis. We invite you to reach out to learn a little bit more about what’s happening here and how you can be a part of our musical gift giving in worship!

Not in terms of what it is, but what it could be.

What would it look like? What would it feel like?

What if our church were a place where all ages wanted to be?

It’s not rethinking our theology or rethinking the scriptures, but rethinking the way our church makes contact with the world.

In the first century, Jesus’ ministry made his world rethink faith beyond the walls of the Temple and the Synagogues.

In the 18th century John Wesley called people to rethink church and make the whole world our parish.

Today, we are challenging The United Methodists to once again rethink church beyond our walls and beyond Sunday morning worship.

Come join us today, help us to make the church relevant again, help us reach outside of our own walls!!

        Peace, pastor rene'
